We all have something to be grateful for.
With the global pandemic, at times it can be extremely hard to remain positive.
I love this time alone; it has made me put a lot of things in perspective.
I am grateful for my health and my family; many people have lost their families over this time. I simply cannot imagine the overwhelming sadness of not being able to be surrounded and supported by loved ones while grieving.
For my birthday this year, I planned to go to Greece with my boyfriend. We were talking about it for a while and I was close to booking it. However, I continued to put it off. For some reason, something told me to hold off and I am so glad I did. I am grateful for listening to my intuition as it saved me some money.
What do you have to be grateful for?
I am privileged to have my education. I have worked hard to get where I am and I am grateful for every opportunity that I have achieved and that I am going to achieve.
It has been a long time since I have felt this relaxed, this happy, this balanced. I think that is because I have more time to focus inward. I have been meditating more, and I recently started kundalini yoga. My goal is to practice yoga more and see how far it can take me. I will be a part-time yogi, I promise you!
Without a doubt, many people are struggling with their mental wellbeing. Being stuck indoors with a lack of contact with others can be hard to deal with. I will continue to promote the importance of self-care. This is the time to cater to your wants and needs.
Want to watch a movie? Why not make a healthy, balanced meal? Please make sure you get adequate sleep and continue to exercise! I am not saying to workout 2 hours every day but do ensure that you get fresh air daily; it will make you feel good and it has tons of health benefits.
Continue goal setting. It is important to be realistic with your expectations and goals. You don’t want to set yourself up for failure but you want to push yourself somewhat. I decided to start jogging which isn’t the easiest but I will not put too much pressure on myself to be able to run 5K next month. It will be a gradual process for myself and I am excited about this new journey. I am currently using Couch to 5k
Each day, try to find time to unwind. Journal. What was the highlight of your day? What lessons did you learn from today? It is a good idea to keep a journal that you can refer to from time to time to see how far you have come.

Take care and stay safe.
