Are you always looking for ways to enhance your wellbeing while learning something new? If so, you’ve landed in the right place!
Hi everyone! Thank you for clicking on my about me page.
So, who am I?
I am Candice, also known as Confidant Candy. I am currently residing in South London, England.
During university, I was in a dark place and didn’t know what to do and who to turn to. Eventually, I built up the courage and reached out to university staff. I had a brief meeting with a counsellor who suggested that I contacted my doctor.
Honestly, I wasn’t ready to go to a doctor; I didn’t know HOW to talk about my emotions. It was a taboo topic in my household/community at the time. I just wanted to vent to someone outside of my bubble.
Instead, I turned to holistic ways to combat how I was feeling. I did a lot of research and I found that writing in a diary/journaling is a great way to deal with real-life shit. I began writing in a journal and I…

I have always been somewhat reserved and shy hence I wasn’t the biggest talker so I figured I’ll be a better writer.
To this day, I still keep my diary by my bedside and I write about how my rollercoaster of emotions, my mood swings and how I am feeling overall.
Over the years, writing has given the confidence to express myself in other ways. So here we are!
Why did you decide to a blog I hear you ask?
I want to use this platform to educate, explain and express myself.
This is not just for me, but for everyone who is on the hunt for tips to enhance their wellbeing, learn new things and develop into the best person you can be.
I currently have a degree in Business and Psychology and as we speak, I am completing my master’s degree program in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies along with a Teaching Assistant course specialising in special educational needs.
I’ve had a blog for roughly 2 years now and it is a passion project of mine to showcase how far I’ve come!
I’ve been featured in posts (shout out you ladies) but I am always open to network with amazing people!
As of September 2020, I am now a contributor to Liberone magazine.
I know you’ve seen the subscribe button my now; here is what you can expect from this blog:
• Honest and straight forward advice. I’ve been told that I am quite blunt at times so when it comes to giving my advice there is little to no beating around the bush. I wouldn’t give advice on topics that I wouldn’t do or have little knowledge of
• Tools that I have used to ‘level up’ and I am talking about spiritually, mentally and physically.
• Great storytimes that are relatable and also teachable moments.
• An abundance of good vibes and transparency.
I hope I have convinced you yet. What are your self-development goals? What area of your life would you like to ‘level up’? Do let me know in the comments below.
And, if you’re on youtube, I also have a YOUTUBE CHANNEL where I discuss all things mental health, self-care and lifestyle.
I appreciate you for making it to this point.
I hope you are safe and well.
Take care xo
