5 Helpful Tips To Push Yourself Every Day

In order to get beyond your limitations, at times you have to push yourself.

Pushing yourself outside your comfort zone can be very intimidating!

Especially, if you are set in a strict routine.

However, it is essential if you want to achieve your goals

Achieving your goals can be a difficult task as it requires some steps that will be hard to overcome.

But you can do it!

First and foremost, you have to believe in yourself.

Having insight into knowing that there is always room for improvement is a great perspective to have.

Below are some tips that I use to push myself each and every day:

1. Express yourself
Recently, I have been making more videos on my Instagram. I like to talk a lot (especially to myself, don’t judge me). I figured making videos is a new way that I can utilise to connect with my followers. If I can help someone by sharing some information, hey, I am all for it. That is why I started this blog.

In addition to my increased activity and engagement on Instagram, I have a Youtube channel! Initially, I started youtube as a way to boost my confidence and get out of shell.

On my channel, I discuss all things mental health, lifestyle and self care. If this interests you, make sure you subscribe!

Without expressing yourself, it can be difficult for people to understand your point of you and to respect the boundaries that you may create for yourself in order to protect your boundaries.

If you would like to know more about boundaries, what they are and how to create them, make sure you check out this post.

2. Feel the fear and do it anyway.
At times, I am nervous when talking to new people. In my head, I am constantly thinking, ‘do they understand what I am saying? Am I talking too much?’ Am I talking too fast?’

No matter where we are in life, no matter what career we decide to choose, we are going to encounter fear. It is going to be there, we can’t avoid it no matter how hard we try.

If you are like me, you know that although you might get nervous about talking to new people, however, talking to new people helps to expand your network. You never know, you could be talking to your new business partner.

3. If your body is telling you to stop, keep going
I will break this down. I know there are some of you reading this who have new fitness goals. Plus, being active has physical and psychological benefits. Picture this, you are in the gym and you have almost finished working out. You are quite tired but you are committed to working on your fitness goals. So do one extra rep. Run that extra minute. Push yourself! The feeling you get after going beyond what you THOUGHT you can do is soooo satisfying!

Push yourself!

4. Positive affirmations
At the beginning of my day, I always say my affirmations to get me fired up. ‘I am great.’ ‘I am hardworking.’ ‘I exude confidence.’ This helps to set the tone for the rest of the day.

5. Positive self-talk
Furthermore, there will be times when your negative self-talk pops in your head and tells you that you can’t do something. Ignore that negative self-talk! If you feel negative thoughts creeping up to destroy your good mood, STOP yourself immediately and drown out the negative self-talk with positive self-talk. Remind yourself that You can do it! You’ve got this!

Therefore, push yourself to healthy limits! If you are feeling faint, take a break or stop your workout. Focus on your health first. If you feel fit and able, push yourself. Be the personal trainer in your own mind.

Positive self-talk will improve your mood and motivation immensely.

Take away

In closing, speak of yourself in a good manner and do not let negative energy deter you from reaching your goals.

Thanks for reading.

Take care.
